Walking in Humility

"He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" - Micah 6:8

Devotional:

Humility is an essential characteristic of a follower of Christ. It is recognizing our dependence on God and acknowledging His sovereignty in our lives. As we walk humbly with God, we seek to align our thoughts, words, and actions with His will.

True humility involves recognizing our own limitations and weaknesses while embracing the truth of God's strength and wisdom. It is not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less, shifting our focus from self-centeredness to serving others and honoring God.

Today, reflect on your attitudes and actions. Ask God to reveal areas where pride may be hindering your walk with Him. Seek His forgiveness and His help in cultivating a humble heart. Surrender your desires, ambitions, and plans to Him, allowing Him to lead and guide you. Walk humbly, knowing that true greatness is found in serving others and honoring God.

Prayer:

Gracious Father, forgive me for the times I have allowed pride to take root in my heart. Help me to cultivate humility, walking in dependence on You. Teach me to love justice, show kindness, and walk humbly with You. May my thoughts, words, and actions bring honor to Your name.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen!
